Settings

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer aims to end playing at a natural stopping point in the book. It will search within the Sleep Timer Window to find the longest pause, and stop during that moment

Sleep Timer Target: This is the time the sleep timer is aiming for

Sleep Timer Window: This defines the search range around your Target time. So if you set a Target for 10 minutes and a Window of 1 minute, the Sleep Timer will stop at the longest pause between 9 minutes and 11 minutes. If you want the sleep timer to go off at an exact moment, set the Window to 0.

Move phone to restart: When this is on, if you pick up or move your phone while the sleep timer is active, it will restart again and find a good stopping point using the logic defined above.

Controls

Show progress: When this is turned off, the progress bar is hidden in the Playing view and in the iPhone media controls. This can be useful for if you don't want to know how long is left in the book - to immerse yourself and avoid spoilers!

Smart pause: When this is on, resuming after pausing audio will cause the audio to reverse a little before resuming. It will reverse 2s if it has been paused less than 10 minutes up to a maximum of 30s if it has been paused for 24 hours or more, linearly increasing between those periods.

Reverse time: This sets how long the reverse time is on the controls in the Playing view.

Playback speed: Change the playback speed.

AirPods

Double press to bookmark: When this is on, double pressing the stem of your AirPods will drop a bookmark, allowing you to drop a bookmark without having to take your phone out of your pocket.

Statistics

Statistics: Shows listening statistics. Tap on a bar in the chart at the top to view the total for that day.

Backup/Restore

Export: Export the main application database. This is a sqlite database containing all your bookmarks and data. It can be viewed in a SQLite viewer or restored into the application in future.

Import: Import a backed-up database into the app. This will overwrite any data in the app and replace it with the backed up database.
